Common questions

What is grppd?

A golf app for playing with people you actually want to play with. Post an open round, friends and nearby players request to join, and every round you finish lands on your feed.

How do I post a round?

Tap the red button in the middle of the tab bar. Pick a format (9 holes, 18 holes, putting, or range), a venue, a time, and how many spots are open. You'll see a preview of the round before anything goes out, and nothing is shared until you tap post.

Who can see the rounds I post?

Your friends see them first. Depending on your settings, friends of friends and players in your metro area can see them too. Your rounds are never shown to anyone outside your network, and your live location is never shared automatically.

How does joining a round work?

Tap a round on the Play tab and request a spot. The host confirms who joins. Once you're in, the round shows up under Upcoming on your Feed.

What is the 19th Hole?

It's the group chat for a round. It opens to the host and the players the host has approved, so only the people actually playing can post in it.

Why do I need to verify my phone number?

You sign up with your mobile number and a one time code sent by text. It keeps accounts to one per person and gives a round's host a way to reach the group. What we do with your number is covered in our Privacy Policy.

How does booking a tee time work?

When a venue supports booking, grppd takes you to the course's own booking page to finish the reservation. The course handles payment and confirmation, and grppd doesn't store your card details.

What is the day-after check-in?

The day after a round, you'll get a prompt asking whether it happened. Confirming it records the round on your feed. It takes one tap.

How do I report or block someone?

Open their profile or the round and choose Report or Block. Blocked players can't see your rounds or contact you. Reports are reviewed against our Community Guidelines.

Does grppd cost anything?

grppd is free to use at launch. Tee time prices are set by the course, and you pay the course directly.

  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

Your rounds, messages, and account data are removed as described in our Privacy Policy. If you can't sign in, email us from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.
